Property Description

***Update: The Black Walnut is under contract, so we are no longer sending financials or setting up tours of the property.  If the status changes, we will notify you immediately.  Thank you for your interest.***

Black Walnut Bed & Breakfast Inn is located at 288 Montford Ave., Asheville, NC 28801. Asheville, NC is one of the most welcoming and vibrant cities in America.

Visitors to Black Walnut Bed & Breakfast Inn in the historic Montford District find a unique and special place that lingers sweetly in one's memories for years to come.

The city's rich architectural legacy is the perfect backdrop to the energy that comes from locally-owned shops and art galleries, distinctive restaurants and breweries, and exciting entertainment venues.

The Black Walnut offers 8 bedrooms, each with private baths. 6 of the bedrooms are in the main building, and 2 are in the cottage adjacent to the main house. Additionally, the carriage house offers accommodation for the Innkeeper. Total square feet of both buildings 5,599 sq ft @ $456.00 per sq ft furnished.

The Inn is perfectly located in the Historic District of Montford, circa 1895. It's an ideal jumping off point for exploring Asheville, as it's located within walking distance, only about a half-mile from downtown, filled with abundant shops, fantastic restaurants, various breweries, and spectacular galleries.

Montford offers easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the main highways. It is only 2.5 miles to the Biltmore Estate entrance, and the Biltmore Village. Yet, a lovely residential neighborhood surrounds it with tennis courts, greenways, and the longest running Shakespeare theatre in North Carolina.

Additional Notes

From I-240, take the Montford Rd Exit (west) travel approximately 1/2 mile, and the Inn is located on your left on Waneta Street, and the Black Walnut is the 1st house on your right. Pull into the entrance and you are in the parking lot of the Inn. Black Walnut Bed & Breakfast Inn was designed and built by architect Richard Sharp-Smith in 1899.

The Inn is considered a Small to Medium sized Inn. However, it could also be considered a large single family home. Located on one of the most desirable streets in Asheville, preview our listing as a private residence. If you are looking for a Single Family Home, look at this property.

Contact the listing Broker, Rob Sales, to discuss these options. Email (rob@bandbconsulting.us) or call 912.655.7674.
