The Genesee Country Village & Museum seeks a highly experienced individual to oversee the maintenance and preservation of the institution’s buildings and grounds, including 68 historic structures, a nature center and art gallery.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years of progressive facilities management experience including: proven supervisory expertise, a mechanical aptitude and a solid working understanding of a physical plant; (i.e. HVAC, plumbing electrical, etc.), budgeting, resources and project management skills, strong communications and planning abilities, a demonstrated ability to negotiate and oversee contracted services and must have the scheduling flexibility to work extended weekday hours as well as weekend hours to support the facilities/maintenance needs of the 700-acre campus. Applicants should possess a working knowledge of state, municipal and local building codes, fire codes and environmental regulations. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A knowledge of historic preservation and restoration techniques an advantage. Competitive salary dependant on experience and education.

Genesee Country Village & Museum is located in Mumford, New York just minutes south of Rochester. Established in 1976, the Historic Village is home to the largest collection of 19th century historic buildings in the east.  The Historic Village, John L.
