The York County Heritage Trust, a multi-discipline nonprofit historical organization, seeks an experienced, dynamic, motivated and creative individual for the position of Director of Education. Potential candidates must demonstrate understanding of and experience with utilizing learning theory to develop, plan and administer a comprehensive array of educational interpretation programs for diverse audiences. Essential duties include department strategy and goal development, volunteer and staff recruitment and training, collaboration with committees and teams, and budgeting. Fundraising experience is desirable. Successful candidates will show a desire to create innovative and dynamic learning environments. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Proven experience in the museum education field, a BS/BA in Museum Studies, Education, History or American Studies and a commitment to excellence is necessary.
