Digital Exhibition & Visitors Studies Internship:
NVM is in need of one intern interested in digital exhibitions and visitor evaluation. Working with the executive director intern will create an online exhibition. Intern will learn a out visitor evaluation techniques and practices, study the trends in attendees and create a profile of the typical museum visitor. Interns will also be required to participate in and coordinate programs events and fundraising related to the exhibition, as well as assist with day-to-day activities at the Museum as needed and be required to act as a gallery docent for a minimum of one shift per week and one weekend shift per month. NVM has a thriving outreach program for students in grades K-8. The Museum in the Classroom (MIC) program consists of 12 educational trunks including Wappo, Kite, Agriculture, Pioneer, Rancho, Recycling, Geology, Women's History, Viticulture, Napa River, Chinese and La Maleta Mexicana. Education interns will be thoroughly trained and assigned to an MIC program. Interns who participate in this program are subject to a criminal background check and muse be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Education Interns report to the Curator of Education.
