General Email Newsletter  -  Vol. III   Issue 8

Greetings Preservationists,

We are very excited to announce a new service, which will hopefully go a long way towards placing our readers with great jobs in preservation-related fields.  Due to uncertain economic times ahead, we have decided to gauge interest in providing a new email service for preservation jobs.  Please click here to visit our email list sign-up area - you'll see that we have added the Preservation Employment Email Updates list.  If interested in receiving weekly updates of job postings to our website, please check the box next to the new list, then enter your email address, and click "subscribe" (as always, your email is NEVER shared with any 3rd party and remains confidential).  Once the list has reached 100-200 people, we will begin sending out weekly updates - jobs can also be viewed on our homepage at anytime, as well as in each installment of this email (see Preservation Jobs below).

In other news:

  • Preservation Bookstore Launched:
We are very excited to announce that our long-awaited Preservation Bookstore is now ready and available on the website!  There are currently over 275 books listed, in the following categories: Architectural History & Design; Architectural Tours; Building Restoration; Cultural Landscapes; Downtown, Mainstreet & Urban Revitalization; Endangered History Resources; Historic Preservation: Funding & Grants / General Resources / Laws & Policy; Historic Real Estate; Identifying Architectural Styles; Museum Management; National Park Service; Researching House History & Historic Research; Roadside Attractions & Route 66; Rural Heritage; Stadiums & Classic Ballparks; and Miscellaneous books.  Check back often, as many more books will be added each week.  To view the bookstore, please click here.

Interested in listing your book/publication in the preservation bookstore?  If you would like your book to be considered for inclusion on our website, please send a copy or sample to: PreservationDirectory.com, 7017 N. Alma Ave, Portland, OR 97203.  There is no fee to be listed, but we need to review the publications before placing them on our website.  If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at anytime.

Be Sure To Check Out Our Existing Comprehensive Resources
and Recently Added Features:

As always, feedback is greatly appreciated and will help us better serve our vast network of preservation professionals and those seeking information on historic house research, historical societies, museums, historic real estate, historic lodging, and preservation-related conferences and events.
