Maryland Historical Trust Hiring Architectural Survey Data Analyst (Crownsville, MD)

MHT is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Architectural Historian to fill the position of Architectural Survey Data Analyst. The purpose of the position is to undertake a comprehensive study of the state’s architectural survey program, focusing especially on documentation included in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties. Strong computer skills are desired.

FILING DEADLINE 11/14/2023 11:59:00 PM
SALARY $25.64 - $33.24/hour
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-Time/Contractual/Remote Hybrid

For more info and to apply here: https://www.jobapscloud.com/MD/sup/bulpreview.asp?R1=23&R2=005406&R3=0006

Duties of the position will include completing a summary report of survey data by county, outlining the different kinds of survey data found in the inventory, levels of survey documentation, and re-survey needs. The study will include a list of significant themes and major gaps in the survey data identified by county, region or theme, and a report identifying priorities for future survey work throughout the state.

This position will also populate new fields, such as historic function and architectural style, in our searchable database - greatly expanding the ability to quickly extract building information for analysis and research purposes. When complete, the study will not only be beneficial to MHT, but will also assist local governments in preserving the historic resources in their local jurisdictions by guiding future planning and allocation of financial resources towards their goals of Preserving the Past.

This job requires extreme attention to detail, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and a strong interest in working collaboratively. Computer proficiency and demonstrated writing skills are essential.

This position is a hybrid position with an option to telework up to 3 days per work week. Telework hours are subject to change.
