Description: The Exhibits Manager maintains and enhances the performance of the existing worldwide exhibitions business, while building on this success by seeking out and developing new business opportunities and sources of incremental revenue. Responsible for managing and overseeing all Lucasfilm's global museum and traveling exhibition activities. In addition, responsible for all new business development working alongside the Senior Director of International Licensing & Senior Director of  Domestic Licensing. The scope of responsibility includes providing leadership, artistic vision, strategic and operational planning, governance and financial management in the areas of exhibitions, programming, education programs, community relations, facilities, and other special project areas. Execute exhibition strategies to meet agreed plans, objectives and financial goals. Prepare overall marketing plans for the identified venues on an annual basis, and manage the implementations of these plans through the exhibitors. Provide creative ideas to enhance exhibition strategies for the Lucasfilm brands. In coordination with the Archives Staff, maintains integrity of the collection of artifacts and archival materials according to the written policy concerning their selection, conservation and interpretation. Ensure that business development efforts are consistent with strategic direction and goals. Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with the museum trade. Assist with the development of marketing materials, promotional events, merchandise and exhibition presentations that support the execution of marketing plans. Ensure all museum partners are in compliance with obligations under the relevant agreements.

Requirements: Master's Degree in Museum Studies and/or a B.A in Marketing, Communications and/or Business required. Minimum of 4 to 6 years museum experience developed working in a Museum or similar organization. An inspiring museum professional with a proven track record of delivering exhibition strategies, plans and objectives for high profile events, within a world- class museum organization. A proven record of accomplishments and success in building and managing successful, profitable traveling exhibition programs. Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to mix easily, work effectively and establish relationships across all levels and disciplines within the organization. Able to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, deal interpretation and analysis, revenue/profit modeling, and ultimately sound business judgment. Strong detail and analytical skills to critically review a range of market research data and the sales reports that museums provide, and provide recommendations based upon that research . Experience working with domestic and international museums, prospecting and negotiating new business deals. Exceptional communication, presentation and public speaking skills a must. Must possess a high level of initiative and flexibility, and be willing to work independently with minimal supervision.  

Required Education: BA/BS degree in related field required; MA degree in museum studies is preferred.
