Workshop to Explore Sources for Researching People and Places

Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) and the Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries (OCHC) will co-sponsor a two day workshop to explore sources for researching people and places. Topics will include how to find sources, what information can be gleaned from sources, electronic sources and GIS data, and the reliability and presentation of information from various sources (internet, self published, oral history, family history, etc.). We will explore local resources including the State Archives! There is no fee for attending the workshop, but attendance is limited to 30.
