Virginia Historical Society to hold Two Teachers Institutes

This summer the Virginia Historical Society will be holding two teachers institutes!
During the week of July 12 – 16, the Virginia Historical Society is holding a teachers institute that will discuss Virginia’s role in the civil rights movement. Throughout the institute, teachers will interact with historians in lectures, discussions, workshops, and field trips! All participants will receive a $250 stipend!
July 26 – 30, the VHS is collaborating with the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies and will be offering “The Story of Virginia: an American Experience.” During this week-long institute, participants will work with pedagogical specialists. For only $75, all participants will receive THREE graduate credits from the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies.
