Repointing Historic Masonry (2 Day Hands-on Workshop)

The significance of keeping the moisture out of your masonry home is all important. Severe damage can happen when unskilled people use Portland cement when repointing antique brick and stone. The purposes of this workshop is to instruct the attendees in the proper execution of mortar removal, mixture of historic lime mortars and the process of repointing (filling) and finishing filled mortar. The removal of Portland Cement and replacement of spalled (deteriorated and broken) brick will also be addressed. |
