Monday Morning Coffee Talks: Winter 2012-13
December 3, 2012 |
From regulating more than 950,000 buildings to upholding countless technical codes and safety regulations, the Department of Buildings juggles many of the city’s most essential tasks. Homeowners renovating their property, developers laying out new plans for empty lots, and citizens concerned with the conditions of neighboring construction sites all rely on the DOB for help and assistance. Yet how the DOB functions on a daily basis – how it manages its monitoring duties, how it makes determinations on permit applications – is largely unknown to most New Yorkers. Department of Buildings Commissioner Robert LiMandri will address attendees’ questions on a wide range of topics, so come prepared to engage in an informal discussion centered around your most pressing issues and concerns.
