Preservation Day 2013
February 20, 2013 |
An important aspect of historic preservation is public policy, which is determined in the Texas State Legislature. Every other year, Texas legislators enact laws that can revitalize historic resources and create programs that benefit you. Preservation Texas has hosted Preservation Day every other year since the 1980s to provide a statewide voice for preservation in the State Legislature.
This year Preservation Texas will look back at 10 years of the Most Endangered Places listing and present lessons learned and success stories. Speakers will include Gerald Moorehead, FAIA, Bruce MacDougal from San Antonio Conservation Society, and Mark Wolfe the Director of the Texas Historical Commission.
