Black History Month Memorial Service
February 28, 2015 |
The memorial service that concludes The Hermitage’s Black History Month celebration is a time-honored tradition at The Hermitage. Join us as we celebrate the lives of all those who were forced to endure slavery, both at The Hermitage and throughout the country. Following music and special remarks in The Hermitage Chapel, participants will be invited to lay 150 flowers upon the memorial outside, with each flower representing a member of The Hermitage’s enslaved community. The program is free to the public but does not include admission to The Hermitage.
Visit thehermitage.com/events for the full month’s schedule.
Time: 1pm
All of our programs are free, but do not include admission into the Hermitage.
