Troutdale takes a photo tour of historic buildings
A photo survey of Troutdale landmarks, homes, businesses and even trees, will be shown at the annual meeting of the Troutdale Historical Society, Sunday, April 23, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Sam K. Cox Hall at Glenn Otto Community Park, 1106 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR. Over the decades the society has gathered photos of the city’s early buildings and homes, taking new photos about every decade. How did an auto shop become a winery? And a sauerkraut factory become an apartment building? The photo presentation tells the story. Those who know a thing or two about historic structures will be invited to contribute information. The gathering is the annual business meeting of the society, with election of officers, annual report, and presentation of awards. Refreshments will be served.
