Tea on the Avery Lawn
June 3, 2017 |
Experience a traditional tea on the lush grounds of the historic Avery House in downtown Fort Collins. Sip tea and indulge in sweet and savory bites while enjoying live music and time to chat with friends, bid on tea-themed items in a silent auction, and tour the Avery House’s new exhibit A Legacy of Grace -The Margareth Merrill Collection.
Tickets are $30 and are available online at poudrelandmarks.org, or purchase in Fort Collins at the Avery House (Saturdays and Sundays, 1–4 p.m) or by calling 970-420-1520. Royal-Tea tables are available for $5/person extra and include a special tea blend, preferential seating and a small gift.
Delicious tea is being provided by Happy Lucky’s Teahouse of Fort Collins. The food menu includes scones with cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves; several varieties of traditional tea sandwiches; and desserts.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction go toward the nonprofit Poudre Landmarks Foundation's mission to preserve, restore, protect, and interpret the architectural and cultural heritage of the Fort Collins area.
