Superstitions: Exhibit at Los Altos History Museum

In the spirit of Halloween, the Los Altos History Museum unveils a new exhibit in the historic J. Gilbert Smith House, "Superstitions," running October 4th – November 4th. Visitors will experience a Victorian-era house in mourning, learn how death influenced life, and discover where many folk beliefs about bad luck and death originated. The exhibit is free to the public, and will be open during Museum hours, Thursdays – Sundays, 12-4pm. Special nighttime tours of the house will be held on Saturday, October 27th where visitors will learn in-depth about Victorian death traditions and superstitions, and investigate evidence of whether paranormal activity exists in the house today. Tours at 7pm, 9pm and 11pm. Space is limited. Call to reserve a spot at 650.948.9427 x 11.
