Mead Island Tradition Marker Dedication

The Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology, Pennsylvania Historical Commission, and the Warren County Historical Society would like to invite you to a formal dedication ceremony and unveiling of the Pennsylvania Historical Commission historical marker commemorating the Mead Island Tradition at 20050 Route 6 in Starbrick, PA (just west of Warren County Memorial Park) on Saturday, September 25, at 1PM. Following the unveiling ceremony, join us at the Wilder Museum of Warren County History (51 Erie Ave., Irvine, PA 16329) for a reception honoring Dr. Stanley Lantz, staff archaeologist with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, who first identified the Mead Island Tradition.
