Virtual Road Trip: T.C. Steele State Historic Site in Nashville, Indiana
June 8, 2023 |
On the third stop of this six-part virtual road trip, explore the pastoral landscapes that inspired painter Theodore Clement (T.C.) Steele. Perched atop a hill, Steele and his wife Selma’s charming red “House of the Singing Winds” and three studios are surrounded by several acres of tranquil gardens, views of which are captured in many of Steele’s paintings. While exploring the present-day site, learn about T.C. Steele’s lasting legacy and his philosophy of infusing art and nature into daily life.
