USC's 22nd Annual Fundamentals of Heritage Conservation Summer Program

The University of Southern California’s summer short course is an intensive introduction to the theory and practice of Heritage Conservation in the U.S. Class meets July 22- August 9, Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm, for three weeks. This course has been designed for students, design professionals, community leaders, preservationists, planners, and developers seeking a greater understanding of heritage conservation concepts in a contemporary context. Classes may be taken in themed clusters or as a sequence, and the entire course can be taken for academic credit. Some classes can also earn professional continuing education units.
Lectures are given by a variety of specialists and practicing professionals, and the course includes numerous site visits around Los Angeles, including The Getty Conservation Institute, Greene & Greene's 1908 Gamble House, Frank Lloyd Wright's 1923 Freeman House, Rancho Los Alamitos, platinum LEED-certified Linde-Robinson Laboratory, Will Rogers Ranch, Eames House, Los Angeles' Historic Core, and more! |
