Black History Month Celebration: Discovering African-American History
February 21, 2015 |
The Hermitage would like to join with The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASAALH) in celebrating 100 years of Black History Month, and the many accomplishments made over the past century in discovering and sharing African-American history, stories and culture. Join us for an expert panel discussion on the discoveries that have been made in archaeology, preservation and museum interpretation. The program is free to the public but does not include admission to The Hermitage.
After the panel discussion, join us for a free specialty tour of The Hermitage. This tour will highlight the life, culture and experiences of African-Americans at The Hermitage during the 19th century.
Both events are free but do not include admission to The Hermitage. Visit thehermitage.com/events to see the full month’s schedule.
