Growing in the Garden: Woodpeckers @ Macculloch Hall Historical Museum
July 7, 2015 |
“Growing in the Garden” is a year-round hands-on art program for pre-schoolers and their caregivers, meeting twice a month at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (MHHM). Each program includes a story, walk in the garden, and an art project. Programs take place the first and third Tuesday of each month, and two session times are available, 1:15 - 2pm and 3:45 - 4:30pm.
Are there woodpeckers in the Macculloch Hall garden? On Tuesday, July 7th children can stop, look, and listen for the tapping of woodpeckers and discover why they tap on trees. In addition to visiting the garden, children will hear a story about woodpeckers and decorate a paper woodpecker to take home.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Pre-register by phone at (973) 538-2404 ext. 16 or by email cwinslow@maccullochhall.org. The cost for each program is $12 per pair (child and caregiver) for non-members and $8 per pair for members. There is a $5 discount for prepaid registration for four sessions. For details on the
education programs or any of the other programs offered by MHHM, or to purchase
a membership which offers a variety of benefits including discounts on
programs, please visit maccullochhall.org
