2016 Arizona Historic Preservation Conference

The Arizona State Historic Preservation Office, the Arizona Preservation Foundation, Arizona State Parks, Arizona Main Street, and the City of Phoenix Historic Preservation Office invite you to join them at the 14th Annual Arizona Historic Preservation Conference. This year's conference, "Preservation NEXT" will be conducted in Phoenix, June 8-10, 2016. The goal of the conference is to bring together more than 350 historic preservationists from around the Southwest to exchange ideas and success stories, to share perspectives and solutions to preservation issues, and to foster cooperation between the diverse Arizona preservation communities.
In 2016, we celebrate several important milestones in the preservation community, such as the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service, the 50th Anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act, the 30th Anniversary of the Arizona Site Steward Program, and more. The Arizona Historic Preservation community will reflect on many past accomplishments and challenges to plan for “Preservation Next.”
The annual Arizona Historic Preservation Conference is developed and orchestrated jointly by Arizona State Parks, the (AZ) State Historic Preservation Office, the National Park Service, the Arizona Preservation Foundation, the Arizona Historical Society, and the Arizona Archaeological Council. The host city partner for 2016 is the City of Phoenix. The conference is underwritten by Arizona State Parks, the State Historic Preservation Office, the National Park Service, the City of Phoenix, the Florence Preservation Foundation, HistoricStreetscapes, the Heritage Conservation Graduate Certificate Program (University of Arizona), the Arizona Lottery, Concord General Contracting, among others.
