Introduction to Establishing and Administering Preservation Restrictions

June 10, 2016
Introduction to Establishing and Administering Preservation Restrictions
Join preservation professionals from Historic New England, Massachusetts Historical Commission, and others for the second in a series of workshops on management issues related to local preservation.

This workshop focuses on developing and monitoring preservation restrictions held at the local level. Learn the legal basis of these restrictions or easements, hear case study examples, and find out about issues related to holding and enforcing preservation restrictions. Gain confidence in working with easement-protected historic properties by learning from professional preservation staff.

Designed for members of historical commissions, historical societies, Community Preservation Act committees, and others charged with managing buildings and districts at the local level. Takes place in the carriage barn.

Registration fee is $10. Please call 617-994-6644 or visit www.HistoricNewEngland.org. Box lunches are available for an additional $10.
