Workshop on Slate and Slate Roofing

Oneida Community Mansion House invites you to attend a historic preservation workshop about slate roofs and materials with Jeffrey Levine and Julie Palmer, preservation specialists with Levine & Company, Inc., Ardmore PA.
This is an excellent professional development opportunity for those who own or maintain buildings that employ slate roof or interior materials.
The workshop will begin promptly at 10:30 am and conclude by 1:00 pm.
Workshop tuition is $40; OCMH members are discounted to $30*. Advance registration is required.
Levine's work is well-recognized and has been honored with numerous awards, national and local. In addition to presenting to regional and national preservation conferences, he is the author of many articles and publications on slate roofing and building materials conservation, including Preservation Briefs No. 29, "The Repair, Replacement, and Maintenance of Historic Slate Roofs", published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, "Built-in Gutter Design and Detailing," published in the Proceedings of the RCI 23rd International Convention & Trade Show by RCI, Inc., and Slate Roofs: Design and Installation Manual (co-author and editor), published by the National Slate Association.
Palmer is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of RCI, Inc. (The Institute of Roofing, Waterproofing, & Building Envelope Professionals), National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), the Association for Preservation Technology - Delaware Valley Chapter, and National Women in Roofing (NWIR). Julie is also the Vice President of RCI's Delaware Valley Chapter.
