BLACK HILLS OPRY with Aces & Eights and Special Guests Sherry Ann Taylor and Tom Wurth
Black Hills Opry shows its stuff with big-time classic country concerts this summer

LEAD, SD – Black Hills visitors and residents alike are invited once again to enjoy a down-home South Dakota Saturday night experience with the Black Hills Opry, an old-time classic country concerts series with some big names, back for a second year at the Historic Homestake Opera House (HHOH) at 313 W. Main Street.

From the Black Hills of South Dakota, Aces & Eights Classic Country Music are the hosts and the foundation of the Black Hills Opry. Kim Bachman is from Belle Fourche, SD and performs mandolin, banjo, guitar, and vocals; Harland Allen is from Sturgis, SD and performs guitar and vocals; and Pegie Douglas is from Hot Springs, SD and plays bass.

The trio is committed to bringing back the roots of country music. Listeners find themselves on a journey back to a simpler time with authentic country music. This very tradition reveals itself in the masterful guitar licks, old time banjo, and sweet mandolin melodies in correlation with the strong leads and beautiful harmonies of Aces & Eights.

The Black Hills Opry format provides an entertainment mix of stories, and old-time classic country music by the likes of Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings. Other genre styles such as bluegrass and Americana also are woven through the series with special guest performers a each show.

The show is appropriate for all ages and takes place once a month May through
August.

Showtime is 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for HHOH members, Students 13-17 $10, Children 6-12 $5.00. The ticket booth opens one hour prior to ShowTime. Seating is general admission/open seating.

Tickets are available online at homestakeoperahouse.org or by calling the HHOH office at 605-584-2067 or at the door. The ticket booth is open one hour prior to showtime. Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available for purchase. Free off-street and free lot parking is available within 4 blocks of the building. The building is accessible for wheelchairs.

Schedule of guest performers:
