First Annual Laurelhurst Home Tour 2018
September 9, 2018 |
Make history with us as we begin a new neighborhood tradition! On September 9th, several of your neighbors have generously offered to open their homes for the First Annual Laurelhurst Home Tour which will showcase the historic Laurelhurst neighborhood's early 20th century residential architecture. Tickets available now.
The tour will celebrate the history of Laurelhurst through the variety and beauty of six of the neighborhood's classic houses, small and large. Included in the tour are two homes with Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s). In today’s climate, creative renovations and conversions are interesting and important to notice as well. ??
Homes featured include an English cottage-style brick house which is on the National Register of Historic Places for its 25 different brick patterns; a home formerly owned by Dr. Henry Waldo Coe, renowned for donating the gilded Joan of Arc statue to Laurelhurst’s Coe Circle roundabout; and a highly stylized Craftsman home, with a designated Portland Heritage Tree.
