Seven to Save Cocktail Reception
October 2, 2018 |
Come Fly With Us!
Join us on October 2 for a trip back in time – and a sneak peek at what’s to come.
It’s first class all the way at the TWA Lounge on the 86th floor of One World Trade Center, where we’ll summon the spirit and glamour of the Jet Age with views from 1,100 feet above Manhattan. Modeled after Eero Saarinen’s original design for the TWA Flight Center, the Lounge transports guests back to the Sixties with the magic of a sunken lounge, a TWA ticket counter reception desk, an authentic departures board, rolling airline service carts and staff in period-inspired airline uniforms.
Named to the Preservation League’s Seven to Save List in 2001 when threatened with demolition, the iconic TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport is slated to reopen in 2019 as the world’s largest hotel lobby.
The Preservation League of New York State invites you to a cocktail reception to celebrate its 2018-2019 Seven to Save list of endangered places. Enjoy 60s-inspired hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a champagne toast celebrating the rebirth of the TWA Flight Center.
The TWA Lounge at MCR’s Corporate Offices One World Trade Center, 86th floor Tuesday, October 2ndSpace is limited and reservations are required. Tickets will be available soon.
MCR is the 7th largest hotel owner-operator in the United States with a $2.0 billion portfolio of 94 premium-branded hotels with over 11,200 rooms across 24 states and 67 cities.
