PreservationDirectory.com Partners with New York Times Writer for New Article
Historic Preservation Blog from PreservationDirectory.com - The New York Times, Sarah Maslin Nir, article, story ideas
Contributed By: Sarah Maslin Nir
Email The Author: Sarah.Maslin.Nir@gmail.com

PreservationDirectory.com is pleased to once again team up with New York Times writer Sarah Maslin Nir for a new story.  Here is Sarah's description of the article, as well as instructions on how you can be a part of the story:

"I am writing a story for the New York Times on people who prefer to live FULL TIME away from the crowds, and I mean REALLY AWAY. That is, people who are happiest when they live four trains, two buses and a boat ride away from civilization. Or on an island, or on an inaccessable hillside, mountain, or in an old ghost town. I am writing a story about this phenomenon with examples from around the country of these people who are not hermits or recluses, but who find peace in desolation; who are only at "Home, Alone."

Please email me if you live in a place that fits this description. I am looking for people who live in this sort of location FULL TIME, it is not their summer or vacation house, and it is not a guest house or lodge. I look forward to hearing your stories!

Interested parties should email Sarah Maslin Nir at Sarah.Maslin.Nir@gmail.com as soon as possible (request posted October 28, 2009)!"
