Fall Fest @ The Hermitage
October 4-5, 2014 |
Fall Fest @ The Hermitage is a weekend of fun, music, food, art, and history at The Hermitage: Home of President Andrew Jackson. The event will focus on a fantastic variety of live music acts that can only be found in Music City, as well as specialty foods and spirits from local artisans. This year, over 100 artists will display an array of products from Photography, Basketry, Ceramics, Painting, Jewelry, Leather, Woodwork and much more!
This year’s Community Art Project will be the “Fabric” of our Community. This ambitious display will combine square pieces of white cloth decorated by local organizations, schools, churches and individuals. At the Festival, a pathway will be lined with materials in clothesline fashion using rebar, PVC poles and nylon rope, on which the fabric squares will be clothes pinned. The fabric squares will create a winding, flowing path of individuals coming together as one community. The pathway will include an activity in the center for attendees to create their own fabric square to be added to the display.
The event will also include a plethora of engaging activities for children and adults alike to have a memorable historical, cultural and unique experience. Visit www.fallfestatthehermitage.com to learn more.
