Workshop: Learn the Basics of Solar (2 of 2 Workshops)

Ian Smith of Energy Independent Solutions will teach homeowners the basics of Solar PV (electric) systems. This presentation will be tailored to the homeowner who is interested in seeing if a DIY-solar project is feasible for them. We will discuss how Solar PV works, the progress of the technology, as well as financial incentives available.
Homeowners will have an opportunity to learn if their home is “solar-worthy” using aerial imagery tools. Bring a copy of your electric bill to get an idea of how much solar you need. Ian brings five years of solar industry experience to his presentation and is proud of his solar- powered house in Wilkinsburg.
