Legacy Architectural Salvage Grand Opening

We are proud to announce Historic Wilmington Foundation’s grand opening of the Legacy Architectural Salvage! The revitalization of our salvage operation has been on our ‘wish list’ for quite some time, and thanks to the hard work of volunteer salvage manager Dolores Williams and a grant from the City of Wilmington, the dream has become reality! Mayor Saffo will be on hand for the opening day festivities.
The Legacy Architectural Salvage (LAS) will be open Saturday mornings from 9:00AM-1:00PM, and shoppers can hunt for treasures such as windows, flooring and door knobs. We welcome donations of historic architectural elements (cutoff date of about 1960) and donations to LAS are tax-deductible! Also planned are training workshops on subjects helpful to owners of old homes such as window repair, safe removal of lead based paints, and using energy efficient products.
