Guided Bicycle Tour – Main Order Homes in the Northeast Neighborhood

Grab your bikes and get ready to admire some of northeast Elgin's many mail order kit homes. The Northeast Neighborhood Association area is one of the four Elgin neighborhoods where kit homes were most popular. We will see homes from not only Sears, but also Wards, Gordon-Van Tine, Aladdin and Harris Brothers. The tour is led by architectural historian and mail order home expert Rebecca Hunter.
