End of Summer Rummer House Tour
September 17, 2016 |
Join us as we close out the summer in Oak Hills, Oregon’s first mid-century modern historic neighborhood. This is a unique opportunity to visit at least six homes built by Robert Rummer. These iconic “atomic age” houses are highly sought after and those on tour include some in virtually original condition and others that have been updated.
Bob Rummer himself will be on hand to talk about his experiences bringing these fabulous homes to the Pacific Northwest.
Tour goers will appreciate walking the streets of perhaps the best example of a mid-century planned community in the Northwest. Encompassing 265 acres, Oak Hills was designed to foster an exceptional sense of community and affordable quality of life, and included a school, recreation center, church, and open space to serve residents.
The Rummer/Oak Hills House Tour is a fund raiser benefiting the preservation programs of Restore Oregon and the Oak Hills Neighborhood Association’s efforts to preserve their history.
