An Evening at Knox Farm
July 13, 2017 |
Come to the Knox Farm on a beautiful Buffalo summer evening and learn the history of the Knox family’s farm and summer home! The Friends of Knox Farm will open the farm’s buildings which are seldom open to the public, and Explore Buffalo docents will be inside each building providing you a tour and the stories associated with each site. Tour the Main Houses, the Polo Stables where the polo ponies were kept, sheep barns, gardener’s cottage, and many other historical buildings.
This a self-guided walking tour, done at your own pace, with enough time to enjoy both the buildings and the park. The park itself is open to the public, but entrance into the buildings will be restricted to ticketed guests. We encourage you to bring your family & friends, pack a picnic, and make an evening out of it! If a picnic is not in your plans, the Village of East Aurora provides ample restaurants, some within walking distance of the park, for dinner before or after the tour.
