CAPITALizing on Heritage will bring together professionals, craftspeople, volunteers, and policy-makers from Canada, the United States, and around the world in an event rich with content and a whole lot of fun!
Speakers and Special Topics:
- John Ralston Saul, celebrated Canadian thinker, is our keynote speaker on Thursday, October 12.
- A special plenary session on heritage and climate change with Environment Minister Catherine McKenna (invited), Edward Mazria (Architecture 2030), and Carl Elefante (President, American Institute of Architects).
- Other sessions will explore architecture as a step towards reconciliation, cultural landscapes, infill in mature communities, community revitalization, heritage advocacy, and the economics of heritage.
Field Sessions and Tours:
