On
Sunday, June 30th, the Wilmette Historical Society will host its 2024
Historic Garden Walk. The Society’s first Garden Walk was held during the
summer of 2021, and the event’s popularity since then has led to its return
this year with new gardens that are sure to fascinate and inspire people of all
ages.
Join
us in exploring four Wilmette gardens, and learn more about their unique
designs and features, as well as the exterior architecture and history of their
adjoining homes. This is an exciting event for gardeners, history buffs, and
for those who are simply curious and would enjoy a fun afternoon stroll.
Ticket
proceeds for this event benefit the operating budget and special projects of
the Wilmette Historical Museum. Beginning May 1, advance discounted tickets go
on sale and are $40 for members, $50 for non-members, and $25 for high school
and college students. Prices increase by $10 beginning Monday, June 24. Tickets
can be purchased on our website or by calling or stopping by the Museum. Please
check our website for a list of sponsors and for the most up-to-date
information, or call us.
The
Museum appreciates the generous support of Bartlett Tree Experts, Chalet
Nursery & Gardens, de Giulio Kitchen Design, Morgante Wilson Architects,
Nature’s Perspective Landscaping, North Shore Community Bank, Scott Simpson
Design + Build, and The North Shore Weekend, all sponsors of this year’s
Historic Garden Walk.
