The South Carolina SHPO is hiring a Review Coordinator for Transportation Projects. This position coordinates the State Historic Preservation Office's review of federally-funded transportation projects with the SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) regarding the protection of historic properties.
Duties: Coordinates and prepares for appropriate agency signature recommended agency responses on undertakings involving transportation projects submitted for comment under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act or through NEPA documents.
Provides input for SCDOT long-range planning and advance project planning and facilitates early consultation.
Assists with the administration and implementation of the Statewide Survey Program and the state’s online cultural resources GIS application (SC ArchSite).
