						Essential Responsibilities/Duties: 
– Job site and workshop duties may include: Deconstructing/labeling historic system components for removal to shop, removing loose and flaking paint, sanding, minimal epoxy application, hardware cleaning, component repair and replacement, masking, caulking; painting, squaring, glueing, and clamping old window sashes; using power tools to weatherstrip or modify sashes in the field, fabricating new components, and glazing historic windows 
– Understand and apply appropriate preservation methods to create lasting repairs and  prevent further deterioration 
– Assisting other employees and managers in the workshop and in the field 
– Oversee and direct Laborers as needed 
 
Other Responsibilities: 
– Effectively communicate with coworkers and Managers as it relates to projects 
– Follow company policies and safety procedures 
– Maintain a clean, and organized work area 
Job Qualifications: 
– One to three years of experience in trade work, preferably in painting or trim carpentry. Full-time trade schools or full-time training programs may substitute for work experience 
– Knowledge of historic buildings and systems not necessary but is a plus 
– Basic math skills 
– Able to work from ladders and scaffolding and help in their setup and takedown 
– Able to work outdoors in various types of weather and in non conditioned interiors 
– Familiar with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for historic preservation (Primarily #9, #10, and #13) 
– Able to lift/carry 50 lbs 
– Able to work as part of a team to complete projects 
– Able to work out of town and stay overnight for a week at a time  
Compensation: $24-$32/hr Depending on Experience
