The National Park Service Emergency Supplemental Historic Preservation Fund (ESHPF) grant program is now accepting applications. Authorized by Public Law 118-158, NPS will award $48 million for repair and recovery of historic and cultural resources in areas that have received a major disaster declaration in calendar years 2023 and/or 2024. Grants will be awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal funding match.
Where Must Eligible Historic Resources Be Located?
Historic properties and other resources must be located within an area that has received a major disaster declaration for at least one of the named natural disasters in calendar years 2023 and/or 2024.
State, territories, tribes, local governments, and nonprofits can interact with this map to verify the location of historic and cultural resources within a declared disaster area. A list of major disaster declarations can also be found on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) website.
