From Preservation Action:
The National Park Service is currently accepting applications for $10 million in funding for the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization sub-grant program. Funded through the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), these grants support sub-grant programs that enable the rehabilitation of historic properties and rehabilitate, protect, and foster economic development of rural communities. The announcement comes after a significant delay in the overall release of FY25 HPF funds. The Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant program is open to State and Tribal Historic Preservation Offices, Certified Local Governments, and non-profits to support preservation projects in their rural jurisdictions. The minimum project award for these grants is $200,000 and the maximum is $750,000.
The program was established in 2018 and has supported projects across the country. The most recent round of funding supported the rehabilitation of historic Main Streets across Kansas and the rehabilitation of historic buildings in the Appalachian region of Virginia, just to name a few.
The deadline to apply is quickly approaching on August 21st, 2025.
