Historic Preservation Office Planner I - Planning & Development, City of Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

ABOUT THIS POSITION

With more than 14,000 employees working across 41 departments, the City of Phoenix offers opportunity for career growth and advancement. Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting your career, working in public service offers many rewards! Be a part of building the Phoenix of tomorrow.

The Planning & Development Department (PDD) guides the physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning what can be built where, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. A host of advisory and governing bodies of residents as well as elected officials provide oversight as the city grows and needs arise. The process is governed through development and enforcement of city codes and ordinances.

PDD currently has two vacancies for a Planner I in the Historic Preservation Office. The Historic Preservation Office coordinates the processing of demolition plan reviews for unlisted commercial properties 50 years of age or older as well as individually eligible properties, and all properties within the Downtown Code zoning boundaries.
