The Planning & Development Department (PDD) guides the
physical development of the city by preserving our historic sites, planning
what can be built where, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and
infrastructure. A host of advisory and governing bodies of residents as well as
elected officials provide oversight as the city grows and needs arise. The
process is governed through development and enforcement of city codes and
ordinances.
PDD currently has two vacancies for a Planner I in the
Historic Preservation Office. The Historic Preservation Office coordinates the
processing of demolition plan reviews for unlisted commercial properties 50
years of age or older as well as individually eligible properties, and all
properties within the Downtown Code zoning boundaries.
The Historic Preservation Planner I performs administrative
responsibilities with the Design Review Counter in the Historic Preservation
Office.
SALARY
Hiring Range: $57,179.20 to $69,492.80 annually.
