Established in 1975 by the Scottish Rite Freemasons of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library in Lexington, Massachusetts tells the story of Freemasonry and fraternalism in the context of American history. Unique in the nation, the Museum collects, preserves, interprets, and celebrates the history of fraternalism. The collection of the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library numbers over 27,000 objects, and the museum cares for another 10,000 items on loan.
