Join the Town of Telluride as a Senior Historic Preservation
Planner and play a key role in preserving the character and heritage of one of
Colorado’s most iconic mountain towns. Under the direction of the Historic
Preservation & Planning Director, this position ensures that new
development and restoration projects honor Telluride’s architectural and
cultural legacy while meeting local codes and design standards.
The Senior Planner reviews and guides development
applications, advises property owners and architects, and supports the Historic
Architectural Review Commission (HARC) through research, technical guidance,
and public presentations. The role also involves grant administration, project
coordination, and community education on preservation values and best
practices.
Annual Salary range: $88,745
- $124,242
Location: 100% onsite, Telluride CO (no hybrid or remote)
