Adventures in Preservation Establishing New Applied Preservation Institute
After eighteen years of successful preservation projects across the world, Adventures in Preservation will form a preservation institute. With the growing need for specialized assistance, and training in the heritage arts and sciences, Bannack State Park, Montana and Adventures in Preservation are collaborating in the establishment of the Preservation Education Institute.

With a mission to offer experiential and place-based learning opportunities for heritage professionals offers technical expertise, and field training in the historic building materials preservation, archaeology, and cultural landscape stewardship, to sustain the features and character of western heritage for generation to come.

Bannack State Park is maintained by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, as a ghost town, and site preserved in place within the high desert and wilderness of western Montana offering a one-of-a-kind field laboratory for the year-round study of historic built environments of the pioneer American West.

Adventures in Preservation will administer its successful methodology to each Preservation Education workshop and continue to partner with communities to promote the mission of connecting people and preservation through enriching experiential programs that safeguard heritage and foster community sustainability.
