Discovery Day at the Rosenberg Railroad Museum
ROSENBERG RAILROAD MUSEUM’s 2019 Discovery Day on Sunday, May 19th is a FREE admission day. Visit the Museum at 1921 Avenue F in downtown Rosenberg from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on May 19th and your admission will be free!
The Garden Railroad exhibit will be running, the Caboose and Quebec railcars will be opened and ready for you to explore, and you will even find a few new items in the Gallery exhibits! (Hint: Check out the gallery display case featuring the caboose for an up close look at an EOT device. What’s an EOT? Come in and find out!)
The Museum’s Executive Director, Tracy Hobdy said, “We are excited to offer this free admission day. We know that many in our community may not attend the Museum and Museum events due to admission costs. We also realize the importance of exposing young children to our railroading and local history and feel Historic Preservation Month is the perfect time to have this free day. There will be some games and face painting, but mostly we want the community to come out and enjoy its local museum!”
Regular Museum hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 10AM – 5PM and Sundays 1-5PM. Normal admission fees are $7.50 for adults, $6.00 for seniors/first responders/military, and $5.00 for children. Under 2 years of age are free. For more information on this and other museum events, visit us online at www.rosenbergRRmuseum.org.
