Entry-Level Cultural Resources Specialist, Mead & Hunt, Inc. (Denver, CO)

Mead & Hunt is looking to add a talented, innovative problem-solver to join our nationally recognized cultural resources team. This exciting opportunity allows for professional growth through challenging and rewarding projects for a variety of state and federal agencies. Responsibilities include conducting Section 106 compliance tasks for historic and architectural properties; identifying and evaluating historic resources; conducting research and site visits; preparing reports including historic contexts, property descriptions, and National Register evaluations; and collaborating with clients and project managers. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in historic preservation or related field such as history, architectural history, or public history from an accredited four-year college or university or within one month of hire.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: completing cultural resource management activities for Section 106 compliance projects; prior compliance work for transportation projects; preparing building descriptions, historic contexts, and/or statements of significance; conducting research and field
surveys; applying the National Register Criteria. A master’s degree in historic preservation and at least 12 months of relevant experience (internship, etc.) is also ideal.
