Calling all aspiring preservationists!
The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is excited to offer a paid and timing-flexible internship position during summer 2020. We’re seeking motivated individuals who’d like to contribute to and gain experience in historic preservation, specifically around community outreach and/or maritime heritage.
The intern will work on a number of different projects related to outreach and communications with Washington Trust partners, preservation professionals, and heritage organizations. The intern’s primary project will include research and communications around the recently designated Maritime Washington National Heritage Area. They will also conduct outreach and help develop web content related to preservation trades and consultants, and statewide heritage organizations.
To apply, you must be enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited undergraduate or graduate program. Programs in historic preservation, public history, urban planning, architectural history, architecture, engineering, or related fields are a plus, but are not required as long as you’re passionate about saving the places that matter in Washington State.
Interested in joining the team? Check out the job posting below for more details on the position and how to apply. Applications are due by March 20, 2020.
