From Preservation Action:
The Senate adjourned on Monday ending any hopes of reaching a deal on the next round relief legislation prior to the election. After many starts and stops and back and forth, congressional leaders and the administration failed to reach an agreement, meaning we'll have wait until the lame duck session or possibly into the new year and the new Congress for an agreement on relief legislation. As with several items on Congress's agenda, the results of next week's election will likely have a significant impact on what the next relief package might look like and when it could be considered. Preservation Action will continue to urge members of Congress to include historic preservation priorities in future relief and recovery legislation, including support for historic preservation grant programs and enhancements to the Historic Tax Credit.
