The Conococheague Institute launches a $50,000 Matching Campaign
The Conococheague Institute near Mercersburg is currently running a $50,000 matching campaign.

Thanks to the generosity of it's Founder Dr John Stauffer every donation made from February to June 1st will be matched dollar for dollar. From large to small contributions now is the change to double the impact!

Since its founding in 1994, CI has striven to serve as a steward of the Cultural and Natural History of the West Conococheague and Welsh Run Region. Well known for its preservation and research of the early settlements of Franklin County, CI, also maintain important natural habitats on it's 30 acres.

The hope for this campaign is to support the site enabling more education, more programming and more community activities for the families of Franklin County and the Tri-State. Despite the 2020 COVID-19 Crisis, CI has persevered and actually come out stronger than ever. Matthew Wedd, the Executive Director said "We increased the community awareness of CI by providing a safe place for visitors, and engaged those stuck at home with Virtual Programs. 2020 was a massive success for our 'Open-Air Programs' and School groups, and our Membership has grown as a result. CI's Founding Donors are more supportive then ever before, and this Campaign is a sign of it. Dr Stauffer has given so much to CI and its community since it's inception, and our hope is that this campaign will encourage others to do the same. Just like on the frontier, the community can only prosper when everyone pitches in!"

Please donate today to show your ‘Love of Colonial Community’ and have your donation doubled. To donate, mail a check to CI, stop by the site to pick up a donation form, or donate online: https://cimlg.org/donate/. The page also includes more information on the Campaign and CI's goals.
