The Friends of Fairsted are pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for the Charles E. Beveridge Research Fellowship. You can find more information here on the 2021 Fellowship Call for Entries, including directions on how to apply and the online application portal. Applications are due April 30, 2021, with notification to applicants on June 1, 2021.
Named in honor of the eminent Olmsted scholar and Series Editor of the Papers of Frederick Law Olmsted, the Beveridge Fellowship seeks to connect students and professionals engaged in art or architectural history, landscape architecture, architecture, urban planning, historic preservation, engineering, American studies, or related disciplines with the archival collections (Olmsted Archives) of Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site.
The Fellowship is intended to encourage the use of these archives and foster the continued development of Olmsted scholarship. Awardees will be selected based on the proposed project and the extent to which their research utilizes the range of resources in the Olmsted Archives. The Fellowship consists of a stipend (up to $3,000) and there may be more than one award in a given year.
